Hiya OPI nail geeks.

We are slowly building up the range of OPI polishes that we use in the salon and have the Alpine Snow white for the french white. However, I dont know which pink or colour to have that as there are so many choice of colours in the OPI french range.

Which ones are you finding most popular?

Passion is my all time fave french polish from OPI. A classic another good one is coney island.

Thanks Tracey

Do you always apply these colour under your white or do they still look as good if these colours go over the white?

I apply the white first and then go over with the colour. Have no probs at all and clients love it.

Alpine white is very white and I have not had any probs doing it this way. Try it yourself and see what suits you best. Thats the way I did it.

Take care

At the moment my most popular is "Alone at last" but also find people like "Embrace". I also have a paler white for people wanting something more natural for which i use "Desire". With the paler white I dont cover with another coat of colour as It does make it too pale.

Although I'm a die-hard Essie user, I have two OPI colours which both look lovely with French:

Rosy Future (irridescent pink)
Will You Mari-Achi me (soft lilac)

I agree with coney island, but my absolute favourite is bubble bath.

Other ones to try are Sweet Nothings and Casa Blanca and for a pearly colour Kyoto Pearl is lovely.

Cream of crete is another good tip colour, not so white as alpine snow.

HTH's
Thanks

rosy future and elles pearls are my favourites

Embrace and Hopelessly in love:hug:

I can't remember the names of mine as not been using OPI that long but my rep was brilliant, she bought loads of colours with her on first visit and reccommended top 20 which I bought. Did your rep not bring any with her ?

BTW What did you think of the pedi products ?

Coney island cotton candy and hawaiin orchid is lovely over aFrench:)

my fave opi colours to go over french are passion, bubble bath and sweet heart:green:

Havent had the rep out yet Juliette - the pedi stuff is ok but i still prefer my Creative Spa stuff, so I think i will run with both so the cleint has a choice.

let me know when you see what the names of the French you had are.

Hi Theresa, I asked OPI at Professional Beauty North which are their best sellers for French and the rep on the stand told me 'Alpine Snow' and 'Passion'. I prefer one coat of Passion to two but am still experimenting. I use white first and pink over it. Hope that's some help x

hi, i use alpine snow and passion which is my fav! I also have sweet heart but find it a little pale so doenst always suit everyone, i have had clients choose tutti frutti tonga to go with their french as well.
I do mine by doing the white first then pink over it

Rosey Future, our clients were mad for this colour. Some had it under white and some over. We sold so many bottles of this compared to other colours. A lot of our clients brought it just to paint over their natural nail as it can look really effective over a natural free edge. We also had requests for it over the powder and monomer enhancements.
