hi im doing manicure and pedicures and am thinking between the two ranges which one do you think best

The creative manicure and pedicure range is lush and their enamels are fantastic, they are they only enamel that you can buy that will not go thick and be unusable hth

I havent used OPI mani/pedi stuff, but have used salon systems etc and i much prefer CND, as Lou said its lush, ive just got raw earth pedi samples and its fab stuff.

As for the enamel, I am currently trying to update my whole OPI (what we used at college) collection with CND enamels instead, they are so much nicer to use, flows easy, thinner!! and such good coverage, and as Lou said they dont go thick or gloopy, i also hate the extra wide brush thats on most OPI bottles, makes it so much harder especially on small nails and when doing french mani, whereas CND has a lovley sized brush on it

Hths xx

Why don't you contact your local distributor for each company and ask for some samples of mani/pedi products?

You could also purchase (or ask for a freebie:eek:) a Creative and OPI enamel and try before you commit!

HTH

I love the cnd mani & pedi range but i have had an increase in sales of polish since i changed to opi and all my clients have commented that they prefer opi as it easier to apply and there are more new colours/collections available.

Personally i am glad i changed from cnd to opi as overall i do prefer the polish.

thanks for all your replies i have used opi in a salon i worked for and loved it. smells were gorgeous and brialliant products i actually had not heard off creative till this site as i think at home our most popular are nailtiques, jessica and opi. but from this site i have heard so many good reports on creative it got my interest anyone know how i could get samples have website or number?

I started out using CND but changed over to OPI products about 2 months ago. I love them! I wouldn't want to put CND down because their 's were good too but for my personal taste I love OPI, and so do my clients.

what a shame .. I did just the opposite. I used OPI for 7 years and changed to CND and have never looked back or found better products anywhere.

Everyone will have an opinion .. why not just just try them yourself and make up your own mind.

CND are the number one nail tech's choice of products worldwide for a good reason. Number one in the world in every enhancement category except for polish where OPI have the edge as they have so heavily promoted it.

I don't think however, it helps the professionals that OPI products are promoted on QVC or that your clients can buy them from a non professional source either, or from Sally's at a lesser price than from your salon. But that is just my opinion as a professional.

There is a CND distributor in Dublin!! They have won so many awards that I am surprised you haven't heard of them. Best salons, best technicians, business awards and training awards.

contact Mrs O here on the site by pm or go and see them.

Creative mani and pedi products are far superior to OPI products imo.

I do however prefer OPI polish to Creative and always have done

LOL!!!!
I am just watching opi on QVC thinking .......'well you wouldnt find creative enamels on there!!!'.
I do use both but i am not too keen on the new pro wide brush in the opi....i do love cnd enamels and have never had any probs with them.
For mani and pedi i use CND and have just started to use the scensations with them for a different take...i have been using the birch and mint scrub and lotion and everyone seems to love it.

I would definitely take Gigi's advice about using product available to the public. Being in the US, I have seen OPI polish available in 3 different grocery stores all within 5 miles of the salon I work at. Also, I don't know how much use you are wanting to get out of each bottle of polish because in my year of working with OPI polish, I don't think I've ever gotten to less than half a bottle because of how "gloopy" it was. This is in a relatively busy spa with 5 nail techs using the polish day in and out. The Pro-wide brush is okay, just something you have to get used to. Color selection is nice, although my clients complain that OPI supposedly just gets rid of old colors and renames them each season lol. My biggest complaint is the longevity of the polish. If you are going to market that much to the public, and create all that awareness, your product should be.. well.. worth the effort. I have been very happy with cnd polish I bought for my personal use, and have asked my salon to introduce CND polishes, but no they think clients only want OPI.
