Hey geeks im wanting to buy in a new polish range to retail and use but i still want to use my creative manicure and pedicure range with it. What do you suggest?

CND Colour and Effects ;)

Nikki, retail the products that you use, love, and want to recommend. If clients want cheap, they will buy some old tut from boots.

When you come into my salon, we wash your hair in the Redken or Pureology shampoo and conditioner that I prescribe as best for your hair. I dont then try and flog you a bottle of treseme on your way out. We sell what we use.

Again good advise but they've discontinued the CND polishes i love! They've brought out the effects range now but it's alot of money to invest and most of my business is now gel for nails not nail polishes but i do need to get a range in x

I would recommend Jessica nails, they are so much more concerned with natural nails and have many specialist base coats and other items for all sorts of different nail problems. I also use them alongside CND enhancements and can cross-sell with both brands as well.

Jessica have also just brought out their summer ranges which are amazing and I have a rep visit me every 6-8 weeks and I find her invaluable for advice on everything as well as keeping me up to date with Jessica.

Good luck!

I have recently been using Orly and OPI and find them both great to use. I intend to purchase retail stock of them both soon.:D

CND are also passionate about natural nail care and also have a range of base coats, top coats etc, their new baby at the moment is shellac which is aimed at natural nails, it has uv3 technology and is an hybrid gel/polish lasts 14 days with lasting shine, no chips or smudges and it is the best thing ever lol. The demand for this is unbelievable.

I too love the old cnd colours and thats why shellac is great as they are the old cnd colours:D:D and 12 more are due out soon with more to follow, I believe. However you would not be able to retail to your clients but a great way to get return custom hey... food for thought, mmmm

I use ESSIE polishes, and seche vite top coat, they are from the USA and have millions of choices of colours. UK distributor is website called perfect nails (changing to louella belle). They deliver really quickly too! xxx

I would recomend the CND Colour & Effects as well. Not only are their products a dream to apply, but as people have pointed out before, they are a great retail item, as if they should buy a colour and an effect they will have in effect 3 colours, and everybody loves that little something extra free. :D

I think Jessica are really geared towards retail products as well due to the fact that they do mini polishes so clients can spend little (mini) or more (large). I just wish CND did mini sizes in their new colour and effect range and i'd get it in quicker than you can say CND but i know my clients wont pay £10 a bottle for nail polishes and buy both the colour and effect making it £20 :(
