Hi geeks, hope all is well! For any of you that use orly varnish do you find the colour of the bottle is not how a lot of them come out on the actual nail or do you think it could be my application? Do you do 2 coats or more needed? I bought 'charged up' looks like a creme purple but when i put it on, its very watery/see through?? I find it frustrating as the wholesalers dont have any testers (do others?) and i cant afford to keep buying bottles and them being no good. I used to use creative in the slaon where i worked but now i work for myself. There is a lady renting a room opposite me who uses creative so dont feel like i can use same as treading on her toes. I like sparitual but had the same prob with some of them (related to orly i know). Wanted to stick to one range but from reading on here some people use a mixture, what is china glaze like? Am i right in thinking most varnishes are now?. Any advice kindly received x

I use orly, and do two coats. Sometime I find that the colour looks like its going to be quite deep but then looks a bit wishy washy on the first coat. Usually ok by the second.

But I will be investing in the new cnd colour ranges as soon as I get some money ! I would not worry that your other lady is using CND !

thanks! i think everyone uses or wants to use creative:)

Lol hardly surprising when you know that it is top notch quality 3 free and best of all 50 colours and 12 effects equals i think 800 different colourways . Fantastic !

China Glaze is fab so is OPI both go on well and last forever. :)

here with OPI we do not have testers but when the salesperson visits you she has color palettes and you can look and see if it's a translucent color or so on.

but it does happen that a lacquer look a certain shade in the bottle and different on the nail, ie when dry, or simply... different.
you just have to know :|

Hi essence...I do double coating since I didn't get the right color I want for my nails. But the bottle brand tells it all, only few times when it comes to the right intense of the color.

thanks guys, you've been most helpful. basically apply more coats or get a different range:) x x
