Other salons on your Facebook?

Is it wise to have other salons in you area on Facebook?
We all want max likes but they can match your price and promotions
your clients can use your like page to access other salons prices and work...
What do you think - I'm asking as I am new to Facebook and don't really know how it works!

I'm new to fb aswell and its a bloody nightmare to figure it out,
I won't like other salons and it annoys me I can't see who's liked mine,
I want to stand out from the rest not to be seen following them,

I have a lot of other salons that like my page, but none are local, but if anyone wanted to see my prices, they can look on my website. If you promote your page to your likers and their friends, they will all see your promotions, hopefully before anyone can nick your ideas.
