hi everyone. i was just wondering can spray tan solution go out of date if not used regularly. i have not been doing a lot of tans regularly and the last two that i have done look slightly green on application. it was on the same person and she promised me faithfully that she has done her prep properly. it seemed to fade back to brown after i dried her off. i have cleaned gun out but wondered if my solution is out of date? the last tan i did before last Friday was the end of September. any advice would be appreciated thanks:)

I have heard of this happening before to spray tan solution in other threads on here - most notably in hot weather or where the solution was exposed to direct sunlight.

Solution usually has a shelf life of about 12 months.
It should be stated on the bottle.
Some solutions will say 6 months but if stored correctly they should last 12 months or longer.
If you have left the cap off for a long period of time then it can go green when applying as the oxygen has go to it. If it is kept too warm then it can go off quicker too.
If it is brown in the bottle but green on application then it should still go brown after showering.
If it is green in the bottle then it has gone off and should be thrown away.

its still brown in the bottle and it has been stored in my bag so not exposed to sunlight. i am gonna try it on myself and my daughter tomorrow to see if this happens to us. thanks for your replies:)
