Hi geeks,
Having given up waiting for hive digital pot to became availabe I bought the deo digital pot. On only its second use it over heated -as smoke and flashing digital light display, (was using at home for myself -thankfully- at the time). I've been told that the digital deo wax pots are due for an upgrade and therefore if i want a replacement i need to wait for the warehouse to release the upgraded version. Now i thought that this sounded fair, although ofcourse very inconvenient, but i've read on the Perron Rigot forum that a few other geeks have had faulty pots from deo. The upgrade story is now sounded a bit fishy.
So before i ring and ask for a refund and go back to the more reliable but very dated looking hive i wondered how many other people have had malfunctioning digital pots. Do you think the technology not quite there yet ? are we talking rocket science?
Sorry if this has been long winded, im done now!

My Deo digital heaters are faulty too. They're a lovely company and very genuine.........I'm sure they'll give you a refund.

I'm beginning to think that I'll go back to the regular heaters as no company can seem to get the digital heaters right. xxx

Thats exactly what i'm thinking kim,
But i'd be a bit upset if i ordered two standard pots only to find that the hives are available shortly after, although given that they were due for release at the excell show back in, when was it? March? i guess that theres been problems with that brand as well.
Piece of mind wins i suppose.
I talked my salon into buying me a deo for my hot wax, hope that one doesnt let me down.
xxxx

I was unable to obtain digital heaters. Hive withdraw their digital heaters as they had a few problems - they don't expect them to be on the market until next year.

In the end I got 2 Hive heaters. I just felt there are too many question marks over the digital ones at the moment.

I bought a Deo digital one. It died after using it only a couple of times. It just didn't turn on. I was pretty annoyed as it took me ages to get a refund.

Thanks for feedback.
Deep down i know the answer, i'll ring tomorrow and get the refund and purchase two plain pots.
Hive versus Deo anyone?.

Does anyone know if the Perron Rigot double heater is digital? And if so, is that the reason that it's eyewateringly expensive?
