Hi ladies,

So I am a successful Makeup artist and this idea has been in my mind for quite some time.
I don't know where to start!
Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance.

Find a manufacturer, think of a name and create a company identity (name, logo, business cards, all your graphics etc). Trust me it's a long process. I have been slowly developing mine over the past year and a half!

Thanks for your reply. I can't find much at all. It's all very confusing as a lot of lashes come from china. Can they be trusted? Where did you find your manafacture please?

I don't do lashes hun
I grow lavender and produce a few different products, and next year I'm gonna introduce some more because I'm gonna have lavender oil too, so lots of scrubs and facials are on the way.
I know how frustrating it can be though because, regardless of the product, I'm going through the same thing. Last night I was on viber with my graphic designer and my web developer till 1am...
But check it out, www.lav-ly.com. It's not 100% ready yet but it's going ok.

Before you go into something that's gonna cost you in money and time, find a decent manufacturer. I have no idea where you can begin to look for that though. But I can guide you in pretty much everything else, as I have recently gone through with it myself.

I just had an idea. I found my plant supplier from an AGRO&animal expo I went to by chance. Try looking for the respective one for beauty manufacturers, not just the sellers, but the actual factories. I'm sure you'll find someone to work with eventually

I had 10 mins to spare and I was really intrigued, so here it goes

1. http://www.eyelashesworld.com/private-label/

2. http://m.globalsources.com/manufacturers/Mink-Eyelashes.html

3.http://www.eyemee.com/about.php

4.http://www.luxuryminkeyelashes.com/Our-Company/About-Us_0161.html

The same manufacturer, different link

I would go with option numbers 1 or 3. Get in touch with them to request some samples. You need to describe what sort of samples you need. By the way you will have to pay even for those, and mind they are more expensive than the actual production line, because they are only 1 pack
Once you have your samples, you need to decide if you need any changes or not and take it from there. I'm sure they can guide you better than I can.

If you go on with getting your samples, you will need to start preparing your company, so think of a name- that can take some time- and then find a graphic designer to prepare a logo for you.

Keep me posted. I'd love to know how this is getting along.

Oh wow thank you, very kind of you to go and look up all those links etc for me. I will have a look at them tonight, as for a name I have already chosen that and am working on an image for the box. Fingers crossed it will work out. It's hard when you have 4 little kids to find the time but I'm determined. I will keep you updated thank you again really appreciate it x

Unfortunately, the original poster hasn’t logged into Salon Geek since the beginning of last year, so we may never know the answer.
