I don't really know may way around this site, I'm hoping someone could direct me.xx:hug:
As some of you may have heard, my salon was recently unlawfully repossesed. Not being one to give up, I'm going mobile whilst I sue the Landlords.
I have made a few visits so far, but things are starting to get a bit messy, with wax.
Can anyone advise me on how to pack my case for wax equipment?
I don't have a fancy beauty trolley yet, that would keep everything upright, so my wax is tipping all over the place.
The wax pots on the heater don't have lids, so how do i protect them from spilling during transit?
I am doing the facial treatments too on separate visits. Packing isn't so bad, other than my large bottles all together are quite heavy.
Only thing is how do you carry both your portable massage bed and your beauty trolley?
it's all getting a bit cumbersome????:irked:

Hi Saya, i cant offer you any advice on this one as i want to know the same answer myself LOL, i plan to go mobile myself very soon, i was wonderering about using a roller wax system,. Lets hope that another geek can put us out of our misery. Good luck, Jackie b xxx

When i was mobile with waxing i put my wax pot in a tub and towels and other pieces around it. I put the tub in the boot of the car. However i did have a lid on the wax pot, and a roller system. I mainly done bikinis and Hollywoods so i had to have the wax pot for my hard wax.
I did see a lovely trolley in the Range the other day which would of been ideal if i was still mobile. It had loads of pockets, a sturdy botton and just a nice size, i think it was around £40. They had loads of accesories (sp) to go with it, like bags, vainity cases, and another trolley though i cant remember if it was larger or smaller.

Unfortunately mobile beauty therapy IS cumbersome!! I have to factor in at least an extra 15 minutes per appointment just to unload & load the car at the start & end of each session...and that's if I can park outside! I joke that I feel like a pack horse, but I really do, it seems everywhere I go I'm carrying my couch, or a bag, or spray tan tent, or a box, or a combination of all 3!

With regards to your wax, I do recommend either getting wax with a lid, or opting for a roller or tube system. There's no easy way to remove wax from the carpet of your car boot if you have to do an emergency stop! And like another geek has said, I also use a box (Like a storage box), and pack my lotions & potions, strips, spatulas etc alongside, with a towel or two over the top to keep everything in place.

Hope that helps! XX

Other than packing it in a storage box, I always put that box in the foot well of the front passenger seat, so it cant fall over, which it can flying around in the boot.Hth.
