Palm Trees, Irish Nails etc.. Most recent art

Here's my most recent playing around.
I would appreciate critique on both the art and the nails themselves.
No, they are not done with poppits, but I'm sure most of you can tell by looking at them LOL I know where I see errors, just want to know what you see.

The thumbs have one 'real' clover that I picked off my lawn last summer and pressed in a phone book & 3D foam on the beer stein (though hard to see in this pic)
the gold on the pot is 3D glitter too.

The palm trees were my FIRST try, not even a practice run. After I was annoyed that I hadn't added coconuts LOL Can you tell my client is antsy for summer to arrive? She showed up asking for that and I was like "ummm hang on, let me look at my pc for a second for an idea". 10minutes later, she had a palm tree LOL

the fact it's "real" clover gets heaps of brownie points from me, thats a fab touch !!! Would have been even more fab to steal an extra leaf and make it into a "real" 4 leaf clover.

Well done for thinking outside the box. It's these kinda things that make original art all that more original.

Not the first time I used the real clover. I picked it KNOWING what I was going to do with it. The only bummer is how the colour faded from drying and pressing it in a book:cry:
You should have seen me, hunched with tweezers on my front lawn (so as not to damage the leaves) while neighbors looked out their windows trying to figure out WHAT THE HECK I was doing:lol:

I like to encase strange/different things. Attach chains to nails and what not... but....... not all my clients are 'that' adventuresome (mind you, they're probably more so than most).

I'm trying to think up something good for the stilleto comp.... not much time, client coming TONIGHT lol (and THAT'S the one that will let me 'play' hehe)

hahaha, i can just see you crawling on the lawn, I wish i'd have taken pictures when I did the aqua/fish nail, but encased live ants instead .... that sent some heads spinning, then there was the usual harm to animals do gooders, i had to clip the end off and set them free in front of witnesses:lol:, there's no pleasing some people.
