Hi guys, I have my first pamper party booked on Sunday and wondered if anyone could give me any advice.

Do i need to fill record cards our for everyone? Will the clients be wanting a drink (because its contra-indicated)? etc etc

Any help and advice would be brilliant.

what will you be doing during the party?

3 people mini facial & file and pain, 1 person indian head and another person mini mani & mini Pedi. thanks

well i cant give advice as i dont have that kind of experience but at a guess i would say yes you always do client consultation for each person and as for the drinking...it wouldnt look or be professional for you to drink but I didnt see why they shouldnt have a few if they want to! obviously if someone came into a salon piddled up youd turn them away, but if they are having a little party and want a glass of wine to go with it i dont see the harm in that myself ? Sounds like fun anyway hope it goes well x

Hi, i have been donig pamper parties for a while and i agree, let them have a few glasses of wine, they relax and the atmosphere becomes real good fun. But a no no to you having a little tipple. I always do a consultation card as they could become regular clients, then at least you already have their information.

Good luck, you will really enjoy it.

Thanks guys, i have asked a fellow therapist to help me just for my first one. At least this way i wont be as nervous and i will know what to expect for the next time.

oh no they have called and there is another person to do now. I am so nervous. What shall i do for the mini facial, cleanse, tone, exfoliate, moisturise and ask them if they want a massage or a masque?

morning,
for your mini facial i would offer, cleanse, tone, facial scrub, mask and moisturise.
let me know how it goes.
good luck.

Thanks everyone for your help and advice. My party went really well and i felt very confident and loved every minute of it. One thing they didnt tell me on the booking that there were 3 heavily pregnant ladies and my massage lotion had lavender in so i had to use the indian head massage oil which was made of manderin, but they all commented how lovely it smelt. Looking forward to my next one now. :)

Well done hunnie x

Lol I remember when Jules asked me to help her out at a pamper party just after I qualified...

OMG I was soooooo scared, it went well and I learned alot from that evening...

Glad you did a good job xx

Well done you! Glad it went so well for you. I'd always make sure you get everyone to fill in a consultation card firstly just to cover yourself and secondly you then have a ready made mailing list. You could always have made a note of the ladies due dates then send them a voucher or sometime to treat themselves after the birth, just thought it may be a nice touch......

HTH x
