Hi there

As I'm a mobile beauty therapist I opted for the cartridge heater for the paraffin wax - they spray on the clients' hands and feet - thought this would be less messy than the baths you get.

I've just tried it out on my mum but it was quite a pain to come off - I don't think I put it on thick enough but used half of a cartridge!! (could be costly!!)

Can anyone give me some advice on how best to apply and remove using this system?

Thanks!!:Grope:

Did you apply lots of moisturiser first

how mant layers did you do as with a bath you dip 3 times or so for a good thickness and layers kee the heat in . If you only sprayed one layer there is nothing really to keep heat in and with it being thin will flake off rathers then rool off. hth's x

The spray on paraffin wax is a total waste of money. We had it briefly at our salon and it was aweful. It is impossible to get it on thick enough, it tended to make more of a mess and was just a general pain in the butt.

Hi - oh god, I've just bought the heater and 6 cartridges etc!!! Thought this would be best system for mobile!!! I'll have to give it a go - is there ANY advice even though you say it's a pain? One salon geek asked if I put on a lot of moisturiser before - is this something I should do? Does this help?

I thought if I rubbed client's hands/feet with a towel - would this get the wax off easier and quicker?

Just concerned as I've got this treatment on my website on offer as thought it was easy!!

Any advice appreciated

part of the idea of a parrifin wax treatment is to get moisturiser deep in the skin this is why you first apply lots of cream, then a good thick layers of paraffin wax the heat opens the porse and helps the moisturiser pneatrate deep into the skin, wrap hands or feet in a bag and a towel to keep the heat in, when it is cooled right down it should just then slip of and any remaning cream is massaged in to the skin if you do it right it is a lovely treatment and peolpe will come back regulary for it. hope this helps and that you can follow my spelling.
