I passed my CND foundation 16 Dec, due to various personal problems i have just started practising again on family and friends. Be some time before i can have clients, lol
My sister suffers from sever oesteo-artharitus (sp). She's 26y and her fingers are really bad. I was looking for a mask for her hands which i cant find so i bought a parafin wax heater for her.
How do i apply the wax and remove it. Do i give her a manicure and massage first, or after. How long do i leave the wax on her hands. Which would be better to massage her hands cream or oil. I was looking at CND manicure range.
Though i have passed my foundation i have not had extra training for manicure massage etc. This is purley to use for my sister once/twice a week, no one else.
All help will be appreciated

Thanks

hi

put some moisturising cream on her hands you do not have to rub this in too m uch, with a brush (paint or proper wax brush) apply the wax in layers to the hand, tell your client to keep her fingers together and do not move them while the wax is on, once you have applied approx three layers of wax wrap her hand in clingfilm or a similar then wrap a towel round the hand, whilst the done hand is drying repeat the process on the other hand leave for about 10 mins then unwrap first hand from the towel starting at the wrist hold the cling film firmly and pull downward slowly the wax will come off hole if you applied it thick enough. once all the wax is off throw this away do not put it back into your wax bath as this can cause cross infection. massage any excess moisturiser into your clients hands.

that is it if you wish to know anything else pm me:)

Ah thankyou so much. Its only for my sister at the moment, untill i perfect my nails (which i feel i never will :( ) i'm then going to do the CND luxury manicure.
I have heated mitts for her can i use these.

yes you can use heated mits instead of the towel, a parafin wax bath is a lovely treatment and your skin comes out feeling lovely afterwards:) good luck with it.

I really like this treatment - however had a horrible experience with it on SAturday. A therapist applied it far too thinly, therefore it wouldnt remove properly and ended up using a NAIL BRUSH to brush it all off! Relaxing NO!

ouch.....thats not so good applied thickly is good and when peeled off wow the feeling it gives your skin is great.
