any how , how popular are they? do many clients ask for the parafin treatment?

Very popular. It really makes a treatment. Having said that, I find it's far more popular in winter months, but others may have different experiences.

thank u ! i totally cant belive how nice my skin feels !

think i will invest in a heater now thanks :D

I do quite well with my paraffin wax treatments, you just have to educate your clients & once they have tried it most love it, a lot of my elderly clients love it as it eases their aches & pains in there joints.

Before doing my training I had no idea what it was or how nice it was! So I'd go for a mani, see it on the menu for an extra fiver or whatever and never go for it. To educate clients who may be in a similar situation is it worth doing an offer for a month or something, say free paraffin wax with a deluxe mani/pedi? x

this is a bit of a daft question but heard so many differant responses:confused:
do you dip the area or do you brush on parafin wax iv always brushed it on but cant get a nice finish with it and i find it ever so messy, i have seen bandage type things you can use anyone had experiance with theese ??

I put the wax in a plastic bag and put the hands and feet in it scrunch the wax around the hands/feet and then wrap up with with warm towels.

Never heard of this way before, but it's a brilliant idea because it's totally hygienic.

I hardly ever do them sadly. And girls who own the salon have one client who get pedi monthly. On the other hand, when I worked in a busy spa, I have done one almost every day.

We used to decant paraffin into the bowl and brush it on to the area.

Girls in the salon put paraffin into the bag and then put hand/foot in so the wax distributes itself.

Some people use strips of paper, dipping the paper first and then wrapping the area couple of times.
:)
