Parraffin Wax Cartridges

Hiya Has anyone used the spray paraffin wax cartridges? I just wondered if they were better than the blocks that you melt in the paraffin heater and if they pose any problems with wax getting stuck in the neck of the bottle etc.

Any feedback would be helpfull

Hi, i have the Hive paraffin wax 3 chamber heater & spray wax. I am pleased with it as it's easier to use than if you dispense wax from your heater into a bowl before you use it. However you need to make sure you heat up more than one as on occasion the spray mechanism has'nt worked & i can fall back on the other immediatly (this is rare). I then pour the melted wax through a funnel into the working bottle to use next time. I place the hand/foot into the plastic bag and spray whilst in the bag testing temp. on myself first. One cartrige is enough for a pair of hands/feet. The spray is quiet a fine mist so not tried it for facials yet The heater also accomodates the normal wax cartridge which i have only tried once it was good but as i'm slow the wax cooled before i finished the leg. HTH

Thanks for your reply, youve been really helpfull. Do you put the feet into the plastic bag first and spray over the foot into the bag? or do you think having cling film (the wide stuff) laid out under the foot and spray on the wax then wrap the film around the foot would work, or would it be too messy and the bag system is better.

Hi, For me, spraying with the foot in the bag is tidier and quicker but practice both ways yourself to see what works for you. Just protect clients clothing ect if using cling film and you may need to use your hand as a guard to stop mist spraying other areas. Also remember to apply a generous amount of moisturiser/massage medium prior to wax.
