I havent done a set of party tips since my training 8 years ago, i have a client booked in a weeks time for the tips.

I dont know why i am nervous because with acrylic i am quite confidant, i think its because i am out of my comfort zone even though it is a relatively simple procedure.

The thing i am most worried about is that even though i blend the tips to the nail bed, once polish is applied, you still see a bump. Are there any ideas how to eliminate it further? Or is that just what you get when you have party tips?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

ok... what is a party tip? lol

I think she means temporary tips - apply tips, blend well then finish with normal nail polish. Ideal for someone who just wants them for a special occasion and then remove.

Sorry, We call them party tips here.

Temporary tips is what i have to do, the thing is, if i blend them next to nothing to make sure the "bump" isnt there, im scared they will be too thin, therefore come off easier.

I usually give them one coat of gel instead of polish.

what tips do you use? we do party tips at my work and they cover the whole nail....you just shape the cuticle area before you apply so its flush with it and then shape as normal and paint...i think the way you are going to do it wouldnt last very long at all.

Hi Kylz

Party nails was the first enhancement I was trained in as it is the building block for all types of enhancements.

This temporary enhancement is an excellent way to train in perfect blending of the applied tip.

Tip nail, blend, and then I was taught to apply a layer of thick buildng resin to give extra strength and also to build the apex so the nail did not look too flat. With care this type of enhancement can last up to four days.

Great for a weekends, special nights out, 16 year old etc and easy and quick to remove.

Good luck.:)
