Paypal - How it works??

Grrrrrrr i'm so annoyed :irked: the company in France where I was gonna get my nfu-oh powders from told me that my payment from my visa debit card hadn't worked, so I tried paypal again, this still didn't work so they kept asking me to try diff ways to pay and give them my dtails anyway I decided to order the powders from New Zealand so I e-mailed the lot in France and told them I wasn't happy to keep giving my bank details and to cancel the order (which by now was saying that I'd ordered 2 lots)!!!
I then get an paypal invoice saying that the French company were requesting payment and another e-mail from the company saying basically that the order had been cancelled.
Checking my bank today they've taken the money out :irked: today! yet on my paypal it says 'cancelled on 9th??? I'm thinking this is the card payment and that it DID work and that they'd cancelled the request from paypal.

There saying they have no money from me in their bank I've asked her to double check and that I think this payment from my card not paypal.

I don't really understand paypal, could it be that the money has come from my account and making it's way to paypal (which has already been cancelled)???

I think i'm gonna have to contact someone but you have to wait for an age with anything to do with paypal!!

I suggest you contact your credit card company - they should be able to sort it out.

They've e-mailed back and are still saying they have no money from me I can see it here in black & white that this has come out of my account and gone to them:grr::grr::grr:

I'm gonna have to ring the bank, how long from leaving my account does it take to show in theirs do u think?
