I have a client with dry cracked feet i use a peg egg to help get rid of what i can but does anyone know of any good foot treatments i could use on my pedicure to help with this problem.

CND Cucumber Heel Therapy; it is a wonderful retail and salon product and it works. It has a very nice refreshing scent and is also cooling and soothing as well as keeping the skin soft and supple so that it doesn't crack. Regular pedicures and care will sort out the problem along with regular home use of Cucumber Heel Therapy. Stockists 08452106060

she'll really need to use something at home to combat the cracks! While hard skin removal will help a little bit she really needs to use something like flexitol heel balm - its good but not very glamourous!

Are you using an exfoliator in your pedicure? that and a nourishing moisturiser for massage is really the only thing you can do that i can think of.

I would advise that she doesn't walk around bare footed too much or wear open heeled shoes too often as well,as this can cause the skin to be dry and then to crack.Hence why clients feet and ours tends to be worse in the summer if we wear flip flops or sandles a lot, which I do:cool:
Adding some oil to her bath or a foot spa will help and regular moisturising of a quality foot product is essential.Any treatments that contain Hemp are excellent.Advise her to rub the moisturiser into the feet and then put some cotton booties on,leaving them on throughout the night is very intensive and will benefit as well.
I would advise monthy pedicures and even recommend a luxury one which has either heated booties or a paraffin wax treatment incorporated, its crucial that she continues the home care though and every day not just when she remembers as is often the case HTH

I have a dancer as a client with really badly cracked dry heels. I have just used footlogix on her which works like a dream. It's a mousse, so it is very light and not as greasy as flexitol. Also you can't buy it in shops so great as a retail item. I think it might be called alpresan in Europe. You can get it in different strength. I really like No. 3 and No. 3 extra. Both are for dry skin, but No. 3 Extra is for cracked heels. HTH

Gehwol Med Salve is the absolute best for fixing cracks in the heels. A little goes a long way - and I have yet to find anything that even comes close in comparison.

thanks for all your comments will give footlogix a go... may also look into cnd..

Ped egg? :Scared: I really like the Swedish Fot Files. Also, Footlogix is amazing!

what foot files are good to have and where do i buy them. i have a foot spa at home what product could i put into the spa for dry feet.

Why not use a complete system for pedicure where all the products are made to work together? If you havent looked then lordy look at CND they do 2 different beautiful lush peducure systems with everything you need and I mean everything.

go to Welcome - Sweet Squared and see for yourself.

Manicure systems too.

I love the CND products and have the Raw Earth foot products for my pedicures, also have a look at the OPI foot file. It's very expensive but hand on heart the best I have ever used with fantastic results. Also the head comes off so you can clean it easily and change the head only when needed. But they last forever.I wouldn't use a pedi egg or one of those cheese grater things,I just think they are too harsh and can actually exasperate the problem.:Scared:

Callus Peel is fab,Youngs do it and re-fill, you can actually scrap off the hard skin, it one of those really gross but very satisfying things!!! x

There is a 'callus peel' in the CND Spa Pedicure range called Sea Serum ... does the same thing very efficiently and been around for allot of years now. It's all there in the one system for you.
