I know that psoriasis can cause this but the client doesn't think she has ever had psorisis b4 is it that she has just never noticed or is there something else that causes this? She's never had any enhancements b4 so not damaged this way

I know that a Thyroid condition can cause pitting on the nail plate so maybe this could be the cause?

Hiya, thanks for replying. I think maybe she would notice a thyroid issue as she is a nurse? This one is bugging me as I've only ever come across this with psoriasis b4 x

Psoriasis is the most likely cause of pitting. 80% of psoriasis suffers will have symptoms on their nail plate at some stage. And for a large number it will be their first or only symptom

Hence you do not have to have a pre-existing skin psoriasis condition for it to affect your nail plate.
