I just started to use the Backscratcher acrylic dip system. I tried on my nails first and they look great. My question are:

1) if client has the normal acrylic powder on their nails, could i use the dipping powder for the fills? Im guessing it's okay since both are acrylic.

2) if client has the normal pink-and-white and some of the white tips need to be repaired. If i can use the backscratcher system on top of what client has on her nails now, how do i do it?

please keep in mind that i've been doing only mani/pedi and just now started to try the acrylic dipping system so any advice is greatly appreciated.

When you say you're just learning, how do you mean? R u training with Backscratchers or are you just picking up as you go along?

I purchased the system directly from backscratcher since it's not popular in my area and the distributor doens't even know how to use it. The instruction came from the system that I bought and i tried to use it on my own nails and it works great. The questions that I have I suppose I could ask backscratcher directly but I want to get opinions from the professionals who actually use the products on actually clients.

I use backscratchers for my party nails, but I don't normally fill them. if a client wants to keep up their enhancements I use acrylic l&p, but I get the occasional party nail client who likes them so much she decides to keep them on, in which case I fill them once and then switch over to l&p's, I have applied l&p directly over the backscratchers and had good results so I don't see why it couldn't be done the other way around. I would just recommend filing down the bulk of the acrylic first as dips tend to be much thinner and you wouldn't want to see any fill lines. as for repairing tips with the backscratchers, you will probably save time by just soaking off the damaged nail and replacing it as you can't very well sculpt with a dip system and they soak off in about 10 minutes. congrats on expanding your services! you won't be disappointed!:) I definitely recommend training in an acrylic or gel system in the future though, you'll reach a larger potential client base and make more money! just my personal opinion/experience though:)
