Hello all,
Have been mobile spray tanning for a couple of years now and had my first call back today. Sprayed a couple of ladies this morning for a wedding tomorrow. Used my usual solution and equipment, at the end of the tan asked her to have a look in a full length mirror everything ok. She called an hour ago to say one leg is darker than the other. The lighting wasn't too good this morning in her place but followed my usual procedure and tanned her sister after. Her sister is happy but I don't think she is messing me about, she seems very honest, her daughter has booked in with me for next week too.
My predicament is...this ! She says one leg is a lot darker than the other and the back of the other is darker than the front, she says she exfoliated yesterday and had no moisturisers on.
She has VERY bad cellulite and I am wondering if all the little bumps messed me up. How can I spray them perfectly ? I want her to be happy and have asked her to wait the 8 hours and call me after her shower or bath. If her legs are still uneven I am going back this evening to do some damage control. I could get a lot of word of mouth business from her so do want to do a good job
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Nikki

Why is it when tans go wrong its always someone that has a wedding to go to.

The thing here is not to get to flustered you have to see her for yourself...far to often you go into panic when the customer tells you their woes and when they come in all is absolutely fine.

You only sprayed her this morning so don't have her back until as late as possible this evening or better still tomorrow.

If indeed these is a slight darkness difference simply waft over the lighter areas and all will be good

She hasn't even washed it off yet hun. Don't panic until it's all washed off. You can easily touch it up if you need too
xxx

Thanks, I know, it's easy to panic but will try to stay calm, she said she would ring me this evening after she has showered or bathed. If it's still unsatisfactory I'll have to go and do a touch up.
I appreciate the sanity you brought to my chaos there. lol
AAAARRRGGHHHHH touch and go for a bit

What solution are you using hun? x

I sprayed a girl yesterday and she came back in today saying she thought her legs looked patchy and it only happened after she had showered. I asked if she had moisturised and she said no.
I took her into the spray tan room and was just about to look when someone else came into the shop.
I excused myself and went to sort the lady out in reception.
Then i went back to the tanning room and said 'ok what's the problem?'.
She said 'oh it's ok now, i just put some of your moisturiser on and it's fine now'.

Hi again,
Went to customer again, she called after her shower, legs a lot paler than upper boby. I did a mega touch up with a bright LED head lamp in place for good lighting. I think the problem is stretch marks. Her legs are covered in stretch marks and sometimes they dont absorb.
Anyway she was very happy and grateful when I left, I gave her a bit of solution to mix in with moisturiser if her legs havent absorbed, at least she will have someguide color for the special day.
Fingers crossed,
In reply to your earlier question I used A-Tan on both girls and when I sprayed her sister I could see the color "taking", she looked really brown but the other girl was a lot paler even though I used 10% on both.
I have never had probs with A-Tan before and only topped up stock in November so it is still fresh. No complaints from anyone else so I think it must be the clients legs not absorbing

Regards
Nikki
