Polygel help please

I have started using polygel but am finding that when I apply a colour gel polish on over the top, particularly light colours it doesn't go on very smooth or evenly. I am filing and buffing the polygel after application to create a smooth surface. Any ideas what I can do?

Are you using a base for the the gel? I find that rubber base is great as it's thicker and so evens things out nicely! Also, not sure of this is a correct procedure but I swipe with acetone and it smooths things out after filing and buffing, I do it on all applications xx

Yes I just use gelish foundation coat then polygel but will try the wipe over with acetone and see how that works. Thanks xx

As above, it's not in the brands recommended steps but a gentle wipe over with acetone before polish application helps
