Hi everyone,

Just looking for some opinions really.

As my new salon project is gaining speed I am looking to make my plans for retail items to begin with.

I am going to be giving Creative a try for Manicure and Pedicure (have some courses booked with them to get all up to speed on the products) but I was wondering from your experience, are there particular items, other than solar oil that seem to retail pretty well from them?

Do you find particular nail enamels from the brand that retail particularly well.

I have a healthy budget for retail products, but want to ensure I invest in the right things.

I am open to ideas for retail products from other nail companies but in large and if possible I would like to stick to one brand for nail treatments.

Any help appreciated

With the scentsations, do you find there is a particular one that retails well? I can imagine they are all divine but usually there are one or two scents that customers are drawn to.

Mango and coconut for me and my clients. x

Enamels dont sell at all for me! My clients would rather pay me £7.50 to have their enamel professionaly applied, so I dont push the sale of enamel at all! Scensations sell mega well with me, and also the scrubs are flying out the door! Bt Scensations I mean the lot, Scrubs, washes and lotions!

CHT will always be a fave as will solar oil in the 1/4 and 1/2 sizes!

Solar Silk, Butter and Balm would be next, I find if a client likes one they usually go for the 3, never get any requests for the manicure, I think again they would rather I did it so they could relax!

That is kind of what I stock, I never get asked for anything else, so I never bother to buy extra! However I always have a stock of Natural nail files and mini buffers, just incase!

hth's a bit xxx:hug:

So far, I've only tried the vanilla and tangerine, although I've caught a whiff of one or two others such as cranberry. I really couldn't say what sells best, as I chose them as a buyer in a friend's home salon! :o

Id say.. Solar oil. Scensations lotions - black cherry, Vanilla shimmer. Good luck with your salon. :)

I retail cuticle eraser, solar oil, solar butter and polish.

Enamels were the largest retail I did in my salons as well as solar Oil and Scentsations lotions and hand/shower gels ... and now of course they have the new body scrubs as well ... lush.

Glossing Buffers are also a must have for clients. Did you know the client can buff polish with them to bring it back to a high shine if the surface gets to looking a bit dull through work etc?? GREAT trick.

Wow, I learn something new every day:)

Thanks for that. That's a super selling point. I hadn't really thought of buffers as a possible high selling item but if they knew that, i'm sure they would be.

Seems to be that a lot of geeks find similar items that sell well.
Thank you all for your input. It's invaluable as I start to put resources into stock.

solar silk flys out my door, but i do use it after every set of nails, even a repair!!
solar oil
i dont retail hardly any enamels though

Cucumber Heel Therapy - it actually works!!!

Solar Oil - Clients can't live without it.

Scensations - My selling point with them is that the smell stays on your hands ALL day.

Glossing Buffer - Clients are 'wowed' by its buffing power!

I'm similar to you in the sense that I'm introducing a lot of retail to my new salon. I'm also including:

Cuticle Eraser
Rejuvenator
Solarbalms
Acetone Free Enamel Remover
Scensations Hand and Body Wash
and LOTS of Enamels.... got to make the VISUAL displays look good
