Morning guys

Im just about to order a set for a client next week and its telling me that the postage is going to be £5.50!

Is this really what you pay for one sheet. you could just put a stamp on it!! Maybe im doing something wrong but i know i couple of people on here let there clients choose there colour then order it in time for their appointment. If your paying £5.50 a time plus the cost of minx surley we cant be making much!

Im abit confused!!!

This is the standard p&p but I am sure if you call them they may be able to as you say put a stamp on it.

When ordering from a website the calculation is done automatically rather than individually, if that makes sense. The computer cannot know that you have ordered something which is non hazardous.

Call the people in the know rather than ask people not in the know on here.

I enquired about this yesterday on the live chat on the Sweet Squared website as I too was hoping to just order as required, but as already mentioned if you've got to pay £5.95 postage every time, its going to put any profit you'd make out the window. When I enquired they said for minx only the postage charge would be £3.50 which I still felt was a bit much, bearing in mind that this could be posted in an envelope with a first class stamp.

Sounds easy to you but in reality, that is not how it works now is it? Your order is taken, processed, sent through to the warehouse, then a person has to pick it and pack it or put it in an envelope. P&P does not stand for postage it stands for postage and packing and that involves man power which is the same for one sheet of minx as it is for 50 sheets of minx.

If you are going to order one sheet of Minx at a time . then this is both silly and impractical. We technicians get paid in cash .. is your business so tight that you can't order in business like quantities? Of course it will cost you silly money to order in tiny amounts. There is nothing new about that.

~I understand this. The only reason i was going to do this is because reading from other peoples posts they let their clients pick their design then order it in for them. Im sorry to say that yes money is that tight i can not afford to order in bulk especially when i dont know how it is going to take off. with hundreds of fantastic designs i can not purchase them all at once.

I understand you but first of all, let me say this .. ALL indications from other users is that Minx has taken off for them big time. Sales at S2 prove that Minx is being asked for and people are loving it., so I don't think that should be a concern.

No one is suggesting that you order tonnes at a time but 6 or so at a time makes it practical and cost effective for you. If you only do 2 services you will have got your money back.

It is my experience that clients will choose from what you HAVE. It is very difficult to see what the designs are like from the catalogue just as it normally is with polish colours .. they never look as good in photos as they do in the flesh so to speak. The minx designs are much more stunning on than off.

I have just spoken to Sweet Squared the UK home of Minx and this is what we have come up with.

At the moment, Sweet Squared are charging £3.50 for postage if the order is for minx only

BUT that customers, if they choose, can have it just posted out by royal mail for £1.50 however this will be at the customers' own risk. YOU will take the risk of any damage or loss in transit or late delivery.

So there is solution with love and respect for you!!!

To just backup and clarify some of the info here:

The site applies P&P whether you order 1 sheet or 10,000. However all orders over £125, P&P is free. If you are only ordering a few sheets of Minx, you are better off calling us as we can override the P&P and send out first class. Just remember that if it goes by post, you are relying on Royal Mail for delivery :D

Anyhoo, IMO ordering 1 sheet at a time is crazy. It's like ordering in a bottle of enamel each time a client asks for it :)

HTHs

Its something I will be asking about when I place my next order as just checked and my last order for minx alone cost me £5.50 P & P, the one prior to that cost £3.50 P & P
I wouldn't risk royal mail, I'd rather pay the extra and know it was going to get delivered.

If it goes via courier we have to charge the Courier price. The Customer Care team have been overriding this amount on small Minx only orders and those go by Royal Mail (though some of the others have mistakenly gone via courier at our expense).

The thing to remember is that standard P&P is a fixed amount whether you order 1 item or 100. The only people that make anything off the P&P is the courier so order smart ;)

They have both gone via courier and both 6 lots of minx, I'll take it up with them on my next order.
