We only listen to the radio in the salon. Would I need a PRS licence as well as a PPL licence?

Yes, you need both as they cover different areas of the music industry.

PRS collects royalties on behalf of songwriters, composers and music publishers.
PPL represents the rights of performers and record companies.

Thank you AcidPerm

I believe there is a reduction of 50% for 5 chairs or less.

You just have to phone and ask them. I found them so disorganised I gave up and bought license free music x

Just bought PPL licence. 50% off as we have less than 5 chairs.
Now sorting out the PRS licence. About the same price with no discounts available.
They are forever pestering on the phone though. Daily calls chasing. Annoying.
However our kandlirc has not paid the phone bill and we have been cut off!!! Grrrrr. They can't pester me now though. Another thing to sort out.

Grr landlord not paid bill

Your landlord pays the phone bill?
