my first question; (I did go 10 pages deep into the history here, but it didn't come up!)

I am looking for "Retail Product Opportunities" to sell to my guys for them to use as pre and post wax exfoliation. Most guys I've asked don't have, or even know what to do with a loofah!

If it is a cream / gritty paste affair (like my favourite Clinique goo) then it has to be scent free, and as organic / hyper-allergenic as possible.

If it is going to be a product (like a mitt), then none of it can be pink!

Google came back and offered me a thousand million products for ladies, but nothing for us guys.

Do I need to invent something? Surely there must be something out there? :)

Jason.

Ellisons do a plain white glove for exfoliating, packs of 25 for around 6 squid! I give all my new clients one of these with their aftercare products. Currently I only offer Sterex Creme or Gel for my waxing clients.. it seems to be popular as it is very soothing to the skin after any type of hair removal.

I am also thinking of offering a male retail range above the items that I currently offer.

I will be interested in any replies to your initial question too.

There's a product called Folisan from Smart Buy Catalogue, for ingrown hairs. It's not gritty, it's like a toner. Does the job.

Hey,
I don't do much in terms of men and waxing but I know Payot has a mens range. Again it has a scent! Dermalogica have a face and body exfoliant which is very neutral in smell and packaging. I have worked with Danne products in the past also and they are a very gender neutral brand with things to suit most skin conditions, body or face...man or woman!!!! I still think there is a huge way to go in terms of mens ranges. May not be a bad idea to look into areas that are lacking and fill the niche!!!
From my experience of experimenting on my poor husband, males have very strong hairs that tend to get ingrown very easily. At first I said you have to get exfoliating mitt. I got one for him (in blue), it sat in the bathroom for ages. He didn't know how to use it, once I showed him all was good! I think education is the key!!

Susan Molyneux do a mens range (Vitru) but its mostly based around shaving & facial products. I know that in the Monu range they have a body exfoliator which, from memory, isnt girlie.

The tanning company I use also sell a range of exfoliants and moisturisers designed specifically for male retail. Their prices are VERY reasonable and there is no minimum order either.
http://www.coutureprofessionalbeauty.co.uk/ You will have to register on their site to see the trade prices but that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated.

You really are a friendly lot, aren't you? :)

I will go off and do some more research, cheers, Jason.
