Hi

Just after a bit of advice I have had my salon for 5 years in August am just updating my price list and wondering if a 10% price Increase is ok or not? This will be my first increase, I will be giving my clients plenty of notice beforehand.
What are your thought on this?

Kirsty

First increase in 5 years? Yeah I think that's very reasonable. Same as our printing costs, normally around September time every year the paper mills put a price increase on the paper stock we buy. We swallowed price increases but sometimes gets to the point you need to bump your prices a tad.

Yes definitely, in five years there have been products and postage/courier increases. These would have affected you and your margins!

As long as you give plenty of notice you should be fine. Can't believe it's taken you 5 years

The salon I used to work in did an annual price increase of 10% every July. I think 10% is very reasonable.
