I have just recieved a phone call asking if i would like to attend a 'ladies night' which is being held be an ann summers asm as a fund raiser for breast cancer.
I have been trained in manicures so thought about offering mini manicures and maybe a hand(and arm) massage. i will of course have pricelists in the hope of further bookings and thought about offering a special price if anyone booked a manicure or full set with me for a later date.
The thing is im not sure how to work out how much i should charge? i am donating a gift voucher towards the raffle so i dont have to make money back on the 'table' and i am looking at it as more of a marketing oppertunity than make as much money as possible.

I have searched but cant find prices that people charge, and other ideas would be fab too.

Thanks:confused:

I am doing a similar thing this friday and have priced as follows:

Mini Manicure (20 mins) £10 same for mini pedicure and file and polish hands (15 mins) £8 same for toes

and then a hand and arm massage at £5!

I am also doing a promotion of book with me on the day and get 10% off their next treatment!

Hope it helps!

What about charging say £5-7 for a mini mani (file shape polish) or for a hand/arm massage and then donate a couple of quid for each one to the charity?

That way you cover your costs as well as helping the charity and i think clients would be happy to spend such an amount

My local schools and nurseries hold Ladies Indulgence Evenings all the time. All therapists, no matter what treatment's being offered, charge £5 for a mini (15 min) treatment. All appointments are booked in advance and from my experience, the therapists are always choc-a-blok.

From my experience, because the therapist is always fully booked, there's little opportunity of chatting to passers-by and giving out your flyers/price lists, so some people like to take a friend/relative with them to help with other enquiries etc.

If "goody bags" are being given out, you should make sure your flyer/price list is included in each one.

I donated 4 spray tan vouchers for raffle prizes between December and February, and only 1 has been redeemed so far ..... and think about an expiry date for your voucher (you don't want the prize winner calling you up wanting their free treatment in your busiest week before Christmas).

Hope that helps xx

Great point will try to remember them all!!:)
love the goody bags idea will definately do that one! will hopefully have some biz cards, magnets pricelists and offer leaflets that i have just ordered trough vista and will have to put my thinking cap on to see what else i can think of.
