Hi geeks,
Looking for a bit of an idea pn how to work this.

I've had an enquiry for a bride, bridesmaids, mum of bride and mum in law.
The brides asking for prices for file and polish, mani, pedi, emhancements and hollywood toes.
The wedding is July 2011.

I need to do some bridal packages as I have another enquiry for this year too.
Any suggestion on how to structure this and also about booking that far ahead? I feel id like to take a deposit nearer to the time, id there anything else I need to think about?

Thanks for your help! X

How weird! I was going to put this thread on tonight aswell! I've been asked the same and wondered what sort of costs to charge but this is for a wedding this year.

I personally would charge normal prices, I suppose if you are going to a hotel, bride's house tec. to perform the services then you could add a call out fee on.
I don't really agree with people inflating their prices just because it's a wedding (I'm not suggesting that's what you were thinking btw) but everyone works this differently. I'm not suggesting you undercharge, but the more affordable you are the more chance you have of attracting more members of the wedding party to use your services, hence more potential new clients
The other thing that I've heard of people doing is charging an hourly rate, rather than per treatment, then they pay you for however long you've spent there, which may work out slightly more profitable for you, especially if there is a chance you could be waiting around a bit, more likely if you are doing a few members of the wedding party and they are also having their hair done etc.

HTH, Lou xx

Im with Lou on this one i did a bridal party just after xmas i did 4 f/s or acrylics and one set of gel toes i gave the bride a discount as i thought a group booking i should well after 6 hours i wish i had charged the normal price as i was bloody hard work:green:

Next time same price no matter what!

I agrea with Lou, I rang local place well known here in liverpool for makeup the other day for prices on grandnational ladies day and was disguisted to find the higherd their prices by £10 on that day. I find that awfull.

I have had for instance few enq about packages for wedding races etc, what I have been doing is adding up total cost of services at full price then knocking few pounds off and adding extras as nail art, and also trial run for bride. Bottle wine for bride making it more special for bride xxx

Definatly won't raise the prices,id be happy to have the work!
I was more meaning do any of you offer packages? Last summer I was doing my first wedding season so I did a special offer for brides on pink and whites, uv top coat and oil. By doing this I knew they would go away with oil. But so far this year I've had 2 enquries for the whole bridal pty, I like the idea of a bottle of bubbly and thought about maybe a goody bag for each lady with vouchers to encourage them back. For the bride I thought about half price hollywood toes if there's more than 5 in the party.

How does that sound? What packages do you offer?
Thanks for your help
