Hiya,
I have just purchased some pro impression tips - natural smile ones as someone suggested they were really good.
But i have never used well-less tips before, or ones that are so flexible.
How do I apply them?
I am currently training in Bio Sculpture and have a client in on Thursday wanting extensions. I have been sculpturing with Bio but am finding that they do not last long at all so want to try tips instead. (sculpturing is not my strong point)
I have used tips with another gel product and they are so cheap i decided to try pro impressions but have no idea how to apply a well-less tip.
HELP ASAP PLEASE
THANKS X

hi i use them all the time and they are so much quicker. All you do is apply glue along the inner edge about 3 mill in and apply just above the natural smile line. Then apply gel or acrylic over the top and voila, perfect tips!

Make sure you hold them on for about 10 sec and pinch in on the sides too.

Good luck! :)

Thanks so much, i cant believe its so simple. well in theory anyway lol.
What sort do you use? Clear? Natural? Or White?

hi hun i have some clear ones and i love them just because no blending and very simple to use! i personally havnt used any other ones! have you got a finger u could practice on? just so ur happier before ur client? they really are sooooo easy i rele like them! but i do love my sculpting so i hardly use them lol!

I have all the advanced pro impressions tips, clear, natural and white. I love them, have never had any problem and they're extremely reasonably priced, too. Just remember to remove the shine from them and you're done! :)

Thanks guys for the replies!
I ordered a box of 500 natural, but may try the other two sorts aswell.
I have just applied a full set of french overlays but i may remove the odd one so i can have a play with them.

What sort of glue are all of you using? I have just been using the glue that I got in a Salon System kit, that is probably the only thing i did not throw in the bin, lol

I always use a brush on adhesive these days. I find i can control the amount that I apply to the tip better and it doesn't run up the sidewalls, which I used to find a 'Lifting' hazard.

As with just about everything, though, it's a process of personal trial and error. Some will rave about one way of doing a thing and some will get their own personal 'Best' results with another method or preference entirely.

i use pro impressions white tips with clear structure gel over. I also use the natural colour tips with nfu oh concealer acrylic applied in reverse to create a longer nail bed, slightly covering the contact point of the tip then i use natural colour acrylic to add the tip. you get a really natural looking nail. you could do this with concealer gel as well.

Thanks so much guys, I can't wait to give it ago! My sculpturing is disasterous so hopefully i can work better with this. :)

I can't seem to get the hang of the pro impression well less tips so i have stopped using them.
They tend to stick upwards showing the underside of the free edge when you look down the barrel and i dont like the sidewalls as there is no curve (think it may be called the lower arch?) They look like they are growing out in a straight line. I dont know how to carve in my own lower arch so i just taper the sidewall in with my file.
Am i doing something wrong with the application of the tips do you think? I just stick to my CND perfomance tips now has i can get a nicer looking nail but i still have a 500 box of pro impressions which i would like to use up.

hi
i use pro impressions for 99% of clients and a variety of cnd tips for other clients (if they have deep sidewalls or flat nails etc)

i find them easy to use and and i always blend them unless the client wants white tips and clear l&p (which i am not fond of , but its their nails and 2 clients wnat them this way).

Kazmac sometimes I find if a client has a very flat nail bed, then they can do what you have siad so i use other ones. otherwise, try sliding them up past the free edge so a point where you think they look nice, you may be placing them too far down the plate, they need to be not far from the free edge to stop that look you are describing.

Ahh thats sounds about right, i have only ever used them on myself and my sister and we both have flat nail beds. And yes i do place them on the teeny tiny mm of free edge has i have heard say you can apply cnd performance tips this way.
Thanks for the tip! :)

they are not great for very flat nail beds, but all others i love using them!. i use cnd ones for those flat babies!.
