I've read alot of good stuff about their tips so im going to order some to try but can anyone rate any of the other products for sale on their site? Has anyone tried anything other than just the tips? Im also thinking of buying some brush on glue but would like to know if anyone rates it.
Thanks in advance x

Sorry not heard of China before??? I dont want to go too cheap but thanks for the info anyway

Oh how dumb am i? lol....i know what you mean now by china...and here's me thinking you were talking about a shop  lol

No i've seen these tips on ebay before and i dont fancy them tbh xx

Hi Karen, The brush on glue is fine I have used it with no problem, I dont think I have had any problems with anything I have ordered from there, tbh...with the exception of the lint free pads on a roll, they were rubbish..x

hi there I use creative gel bond but like yourself ordered tips from pro impressions and tryed out there glue and found it was really easy to use as its the brush and not the tube. Id say its worth a try to see what you think compare it to what you are using at the moment.

Glad to hear i made you chuckle :green:

Im wanting to buy the half well ones, i dont want to skip blending and go onto well less whilst still in training! lol although i really like the look of the french flame ones so they may slip into the basket too. :green:

Why support the UK Distributors when they charge £19.99 for 500 french flame tips when the exact same ones are bought form china at £1.99 inc postage! Dont know about you but the more I can save on products the more profit I can make whilst passing on some savings to my clients too!!

So your telling me you would much rather pay an extra £18 just to support someone else or save your clients a couple of quid and have some more money going through your bank!

Seen as most people on here are complaining about a downturn in business then surely we are better off trying to keep our prices right but save money where we can, providing of course that you are not using inferior products that dont last.

Well thats my view, Im off to be evil and save myself money

Byyeeeee!! Kate

The reason the UK distributors have to charge more is cos they spend so much on advertising, marketing, staff, and the fact that they have huge overheads too....since when did the man from china who sells on ebay have to pay for all these things.

They don't charge these prices to rip you off any more than you do when charging your clients for a set of nails when it costs you a heck of a lot less to produce....infact whilst we are on the subject...maybe you would think differently if your clients thought like you did and decided to buy their own stuff from ebay and do their own nails to save them a few quid....its the same thing.

Things we moan about like cheep NSS and DIY kits causing US to loose clients and our livelihood is the same as what you are doing to the distributors.

i chucked my PI brush on glue as it wouldnt stick..and the tips were coming off as soon as they were on. I have stuck to gel bond from CND and have had no problems with it HTH

LindaC xx

OMG so did I and I have to agree they fall apart as soon as you wet them!!!!!total rubbish.!!!

Could not advise on thier tips as I have not bought them. I only bought the pre airbrushed tips and they are too weak, only ok for party nails.

Have not ordered since tbh.

I'm not selling a product i'm selling a service.

People will always try to find cheaper nail salons and/or buy their own stuff to do their own nails and that in turn is their choice!

I charge for a service. A good one if that. Most clients who buy their kits to do their own nails or go to cheaper salons wouldnt come to me or you anyway because they obviously cannot afford too. They dont look for a bargain because they have to, they do it because they need to.

The rest of us still get clients regardless of other methods available because these clients want the best and can afford the best.

Nail technicians make £30 an hour profit. Our products cost no more than a tenner when taking into account heating, rent, advertising etc.

So if items can be purchased cheaper then I will cut out the middle man and save my clients money, thus reducing what they pay whilst maintaining my profits.

So your telling me if currys had a TV for £600 but the same one was in comet for £300 would you buy the one twice the cost because they advertised the TV and the other shop didn't?

Sounds like a no brainer to me!

And pro impressions will find something else to distribute if we bought tips elsewhere. All is fair in business and you won't be in business very long if you dont watch every penny carefully!

Obviously though I'm the stupid one! Maybe I will put my prices up and tell my clients its to support UK businesses.

Yes. (Apart from the fact I wouldn't use flame shaped tips....)

To keep business British, especially at a time that is commercially challenged, and to support the companies who invested in our country's nail trade, and to take the long term view on my business...yes, yes and yes!

I have a policy on where I spend or invest my money in my business, and my clients appreciate it and support me in it. It has already paid dividends and I have the most succesful nail & beauty business in my area.

I choose my suppliers to be my business partners. They are there to give me support as well as product, and for that they get loyalty from me. We have a relationship. You can't put a price or value on that. For that I am incredibly grateful and utterly happy to pay a premium. My business grows monthly....theirs does too.

'Cheapness' will and does cost in the long run.

I bought a black striper from them and it's rubbish. The brush isn't fine enough and the black isn't very thick so you can see through it.

Aside from ordering from a British company, I wouldn't order from China because if my order didn't arrive, was damaged or wrong, there will be very little (if any) quality control or customer service in place to resolve the situation. This to me, could end up being a false economy.

No-one is stupid and no-one is a no brainer...:) I would buy the cheaper TV  as both stores are UK based.

My point is about supporting our UK distributors and i don't feel the need to repeat my reasons why...I feel that I covered that in my previous reply. Everyone is free to buy from wherever they want to....but I prefer great and reliable customer service, piece of mind, back up and quality....and I don't mind paying for it.

I buy Pro Impressions tips as well, and yes I support the British Distributors....... But, if there is anything wrong with my tips I go back to PI, if you order off Ebay from someone in China there is no come-back and that money is wasted......

IMO, Pro Impressions tips are such good value that to risk compromising the quality to save a relatively small amount of money is a bit short-sighted. I trust the PI tips not to cause service breakdown causing me more work in the long run.......
