Hi

I have several ladies who play golf regularly, they all have Bio Sculpture Overlays. Not sure, but I think I have discovered a new ailment .... 'Golf Glove Syndrome'!!

The hand that wears the glove seems to be susceptible to the gel/nail feeling 'soft' when they return for their regular appointment and, when I soak off the gel, the nail underneath is flaking. Sometimes this has caused the gel to left at the free edge. They all confirm that they do not remove the glove for the entire 18 holes (I assume therefore several hours). The glove may be synthetic or it may be leather, it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I have explained to them that prolonged use of gloves is not good for the gel .... but have any of you experienced a similar problem and therefore have application tips on how I can overcome, or minimise, the problem? I have told them to remove the glove between holes, or suffer the consequences! Any other thoughts?

Thanks!

using a buff off gel for these clients (hopefully not all of your clients play Golf LOL)

or L&P with a sealer...

I don't think it is the gloves ... it is the grip they are taught to use when playing golf. The little fingernail is put under tremendous pressure during the swing.

The little fingernail should be kept short if they are keen golfers and then there will not be a problem.

Good point about the grip, because one of these clients also has nail bed separation on her left thumb, which I have told her I think is due to golf club grip (and, reassuringly, her GP has just confirmed).
