Type in removing nails in the search bar at the top of the page, you may find some useful tips, sometimes applying some warmth helps .:)

tbh I take about 45mins for a soak off(easysoak too) and that going hard at it with the 100grit to de-bulk, If the client does not want to keep lengnth (if her own have grown underneath) then you can clip them once you have de-bulked the product. Also I have the water hot, but still bareable to put your had in :) hth xx

Thanks sarah, Think I may have to de-bulk a little more then. what make of acetone u using?

just plain old salonservices, don't think they make different strengths lol never tried product remover though not sure if that would make much diffrence tbh xx

Make sure you take as much of the enhancement down as you can
Clip the tips off if they are not wanting to grow them
when using acetone make sure you have the bowl in warm water covered with a towel
try placing a small amount of cuticle oil around the fingers to stop them getting dry
remember you can file th bulk down even if they have been soaked in acetone, if you still feel they are not being removed quick enough.
Product remover I think is kind of the same but doesn't dry the skin/nails out so much, I could be corrected there lol

Here in Australia, if there NSS nails, they wont soak off, its useless using acetone at all !
If I have a client with NSS nails on, I refer them back to that salon for removal, where they then proceed to prize them off their nailbeds (that'll learn em')

Hey as far as I know acetone is watered down, I tried a more expensive acetone and it seemed quicker than the own brand stuff I was using before. Also are you taking them out half way through and gently sliding off some of the jellified product and then puttin it back in again I find this plus the clipping tip above speeds it up xx

I do wonder about acetone and whether or not it actually 'Is' all the same? I've tried a few brands, including product remover, and none of them have shifted it any quicker. I remove as much as I can beforehand and this takes time, too. I think I'm doing well if I can get shot of it in anything under an hour, which is too long, according to some. I have an easy soak bowl and follow all the suggestions on here, but it's still very stubborn and 'No,' I don't have nails the thickness of door wedges. :irked:

Can anyone suggest a faster acting brand? I did once have them removed at Nails Inc and I have to admit it was fast, plus they did almost no bulk removing beforehand.

I use easy soak debulk and leave them for 20 mins and they just slide off
the warm water helps though. I use hive acetone and add a bit of cuticle oil to the water

Acetone is quite effective, it does come in different strengths and there are nail removers which have other ingredients in them.

Is this a client of yours, or someone else's client?

You also have to be able to tell if they have a gel coating on the acrylic (as this will prevent the acetone from penetrating). You have to remove any gel with a file before soaking.

Has anyone tried the new D:solve product remover from SweetSquared yet?

I have heard that this is more effective - but I'm sure it does still help to have the warm water bain-marie type equipment like the Easysoak :)
