hi,i am using a product called millenium,i have used it before with no probs..

Do you have training in the L&P system as it is a lot different to using a fabric system

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer to see if your product is defective? Most companies have techs that will help you trouble shoot their products. Look for a phone number on the container or ask your supplier for contact info.

Most L&P products will eventually set but if you don't have a good ratio of liquid to powder it can take a long time.

Just a thought but some "odourless" acrylic systems leave a tacky residue which needs to be buffed off. I came across this with NSI a few years back, this may not be the case now. Once you buff it off it should be hard underneath though.

Can I be honest with you? And pleeeeease dont take any offence by this because there is absolutely none intended, but:
When I see posts when people use phrases like "acrylic not setting properly" before I even read the post it tells me that the poster needs more education. "acrylic" (I'm assuming it's l&p you're using) doesnt set, it polymerises, and by understanding the polymerisation process and the chemistry behind it you can troubleshoot these little problems quite easily and adjust your working practices accordingly.

The best advice I could give you is that there could be dozens of reasons why you are having trouble, and it sounds like you could really benefit from a skill building day to brush up on your application method and theory knowledge.

I hope you get to the bottom of it, good luck:green:

thanx every 1 for the advice, problem now solved faulty goods..xxxx:)
