Do you mean after applying L&P or gel etc?
I always think it's down to the shape you file them. Square nails can look really unbecoming on someone like this. Oval make the nails, and often fingers, look so much nicer.
It's a little harder if you mean really short natural nails I would make them as oval as possible though.

Yes, i mean after applying L&P, i find i hard to file them i shape so that they look slim

i agree tapper then inor oval/almond shape is better or you could try and custom blend xx

I think i will try the oval shape next time, the problem is that not many girls in Denmark want the oval shape they want the square nails, it is most the older women that prefer the oval shape here.. :irked:

Have you tried custom blending these types of nails, it is perfect for these and will make them look so much more elegant

I have just only finished the custom blending course, and don´t feel confident enough jet to try it on a paying client, i am still trying it out on friends and family.

Well there will be no stopping you soon then, using custom Blending will make a huge difference to you and your clients, you will help these nails not only by extending the nail, but also by making a gorgeous smile. Good luck and happy practising

I've had a few clients that used to be square...then we went squoval....then we went oval. They prefer them now. Also try extending the smiles to give the impression the nails are longer and thinner than they actually are.

Thank you so much for all the great advices, i am still working with the deep smile lines, and it is getting better every day.

The deep smile lines aren't all the be all and end all....the clients that you describe are the hardest for me to rebalance and I don't know why!

I know what you mean Judy, when ever i get a client who has thes nails i start to sweat, because i don´t think that i can get a good result for the client and it is so fustrating for me, i will try out the advise on the oval shape and i will soon start to offer the Custom Blend to the client also.
