I just answered a pvt message about how I dealt with problems when I first started out ......
I answered .....
I bluffed my way through most of it .....
More importantly, I blamed myself (not my products) and improved accordingly.
Every client that comes back with an issue (rather than blaming the product), blame yourself, then change the way you did things.
Just to add ..... every problem has a solution (really you should look inside for the solution), Products are designed to work (sure some better than others), they are designed to adhere.
Everytime a client comes back and there is a little bit of lift....
I carefully look at it and think (very quickly)......
Was it too thick, was it too thin, , did I prep correctly, did I press it down, did I file it in, did I follow manufacturers instructions?
.... In my many years, when I think about it, I have rarely blamed product (except for discoloration issues).
I usually make it an issue about "me" and how I can improve.
Learn from it and do better next time.
Each client is a learning curve and each mistake I learn from is a well deserved "feather" to make me a lovely boa to keep me warm, comfortable and confident.
Don't be bald chicken...... Earn some feathers...
