hi everyone i have a dilemma,i have a client that has been comeing to me for sometime now, she has acrylic overlay on natural nails, she is very hard on her nails we keep them fairly short, the natural nail is peeling at the end of the enhancement, i see her every 2-3 weeks whenever she comes in for an infill i repair it but it always happens again! i always ask her if she is happy with her nails and she has always said yes, but the other day i had a another client who is friends with this lady have a new set done for a function, who also came back the next day to get makeup, on her 2nd appointment for the makeup she told me that my other client said i had not done her nails properly and that she wasnt happy with her own they were peeling and apparently i would not paint them a color that she wanted, which i do not recall! this client has never complianed to me at all and know she is bagging me to other clients!i really dont know what to do? it really made me feel down, i feel so horrible about it.
if this lady does not like my work why keep comeing back

This clients friends nails you done , did she refer her to you?

yes thats what makes it even stranger

Doesnt it just:rolleyes:. I think the only thing you can do next time is ask her if shes happy with the nails, I always ask this before they leave and double check the right polish is being applied ah and sort of say it sarcastically..are you sure!!.. I would anyway ..some people are so two bloody faced.

i was so upset, its really got to me all weekend, it makes you feel so down, she has her scheduled app in one weeks time and how do you not say anything to her about it?

When she comes for her next appointment, I would just thank her kindly for sending her friend to you. Then I wouldn't say anymore. I live in a small town and every second client I have starts bagging out the previous tech who did her nails. I imagine they do the same about me too. I just ignore it and don't take any part in it. If you are happy that you are doing your best and she says she is happy when you ask her, there is no more you can do. Maybe perhaps when you ask if she is happy with them and she says yes, you could just say 'would you tell me if you weren't happy with them'
I know how upsetting it can be, but its just gossip so don't let it bother you
Cheers

I agree with Karen here, if you do say anything you could end up losing 2 clients, and thats the last thing you want, so just smile sweetly and carry on as if nothing has been said..x

, the natural nail is peeling at the end of the enhancement,
Do you mean the natural nails has come away for the acrylic/gel? If so It happens to mine all the time when I have NNO as some of my nails when they get to a certain length start to bend which is why I prefer tips, Have you suggested this to her even if it is a very short tip. or could you ( and this is just something I am throwing out there never tried it personally as it just entered my head now) bring the acrylic under the free edge to encapsulate the free edge making it stronger???? Not sure if it would work but mabe worth a try. It's not nice to be bad mouthed and I would be mortified to find out someone was bad mouthing me. I hope you manage to get to the bottom of it hun.x

yes it just comes away at the end, it happens to mine as well every now and then, she doesnt want tips on at all, thats not a bad idea i will try it on mine tomorrow first and see what happens.
