I may be on my own on this one but I have been a nail bod for over four years now. During this time I have been loyally buying my products from Designer Nails, aka Hyperion Group until the glitch last year, at which point I bought OPI, then, and thank you Lord, back to S2 to get CND again. In my humble opinion this is the best nail product on the market!
However, it really gets my goat that,
a) Some third party companies send out flyers advertising products cheaper from, for instance, CND! How do these people get the products cheaper in the first place? Or do they??!!! So, are they actually selling the product as shown, or is it a cheaper product in a branded wrapper/bottle etc? Equally, anyone who is a professional passing off a cheaper product as one of a much higher calibre, also winds me up! - and I know someone who has done this.
b) Unqualified so-called 'professionals' - this is from another thread, and sorry, but am having a rant - using PROFESSIONAL nail products without the training
c) Professionals doing a really shonky job because they
i) can't be bothered,
ii) want more bums on seats,
iii) are just too greedy to give a toss about their reputation and how their work looks and finally
iv) equally don't give a toss about ther clients natural nails underneath the monstrosity
they've created! - This in my opinion, can also damage the reputation of a product to those who aren't in the know.
Is there a professional body or guild where reputable nail peeps can be registered yet? I know I'd like to be part of one and anyone worth their salt in this industry would have no problem with signing up to one.
Phew! Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

Every profession has its fair share of 'rogues'.

We don't live in a perfect world.

You can spend allot of time and energy worrying about what others do (and getting nowhere), OR you can put that time and energy into what YOU do, (and get somewhere).

Sweet Squared are too busy to spend the time and energy worrying about a few people who are buying products iegally and re-selling them. Sweet Squared's focus is on providing the best service they acan to their customers.

IF the diverted products sometimes seem to be cheaper, then it is only because these rogues have not paid Import Tax, Duty or legal shipping costs. Most are not selling cheaper. Some are selling stolen goods. (Remember last year that 40,000.00 worth of stock was stolen from the Manchester Creative Distribution Centre).

Fortunately there are more concerned people like yourself who prefer to do things in the right way, and the legal way, and to support those who support them in their business. Thank god for you all.

There are two Associations for Nail Technicians in the UK.

ANT (Association of Nail Technicians) and the INA (International Nail Association)

There is now also the Nail Code of Practise from HABIA
