Hi Hair Geeks

I'm going to get a side swept fringe cut in at the weekend. My hair at the front is not that think though and sometimes sits too flat.

Is there a product you hair geeks can recommend for volume and hold and that isn't too heavy/sticky? Although if volume and hold means heavy/sticky then I guess I'll have to live with it.

I don't mind paying salon prices for something that will work.

Thanks

My salon use and retail Swarzkopf(sp?) and Tigi products. Can you guys recommend any of there products?

I'll be asking my stylistic what he recommends but I'd love to hear your rec's too. :D

i have no volume what so ever in my hair, my hairdresser sold me osis dust it, its fab goes on like a talc but once rubbed in it does go quite sticky nothing that bothers me tho, just rub your roots once on and the volume happens even if your hair goes flat again during the day all you have to do is give it another rub and your volume is back. Am sure your hairdresser will explain how to use it better :) xx

He did try to use dust on me a while back but I used to get my hair cut on a Wednesday or Thursday evening when I wasn't doing anything after except going home to bed so I didn't want heavy product in my hair.

I've changed my regular appointments to Saturday afternoon's now so maybe I'll give it a go. With long hair I don't like too much product overall as it makes my hair feel heavier, but I'm going much shorter at the week so hopefully product won't feel so heavy. Does that make sense?

Try a velcro roller in it when you are getting ready then even just run straighteners throught the ends if you need too?x

I use clynol powder punch is that Osis dust similar?
Sprinkle it on n it feels abit weird but gives really good lift???

very interested in this thread :) I have long hair, quite fine but quite alot of it. I have tried osis dust, tongs, rollers, straightners, various volume sprays, combos of products and my friend back combing the life out it (last resort! lol) and anywhere from 10 mins to an hour and my hair is completely flat again :irked: xx

Label.m resurrection dust is my fave. It's a dust but when you rub it it goes quite 'thick' not sticky. It's really hard to explain. We had Label.m in the salon for about a week and sold out of the resurrection dust straight away. They do it in two sizes, the little one is £10 and lasts ages. All my customers love it and so do I (as you can tell!) x
