Hi geeks, I wondered if any of you could recommend products to help prevent/get rid of ingrown hairs, particularly in the bikini area.

thanks, Lou x

Hi hun I've started using (and selling to our clients) a product by Depileve called Folisan.
There is a distrubutor in Ireland, but not sure about the UK - google the name and you might find it. Excellent product and they also have a hair minimiser lotion.

I use tea tree oil, put it on every day and the hair will come to the surface so you can then remove it.

Ingrow Go from Skin Doctors is great. Get it from HQHair.com :)

I recently trained in waxing and I have never had my legs waxed before (obviously until the training course started) however I regularly have my bikini done but since my course I have mega ingrown hairs on both my legs and bikini area-My legs.... I was thinking due to dead skin cells as I have very dry skin but I do exfoliate? My bikini I have had the odd ingrown hair but nothing like this before?? Im a bit miffed can anyone help with what else would cause this to happen all of a sudden?

A lot of salons use PFB - its fantastic against ingrown hair and its available in a 1oz trial roll on (so you can resell to your clients) a 4 oz roll on and a 16oz salon size

Excuse me for being thick but what is this?

How are you exfoliating?
Exfoliating should only be done 2 or 3 times a week and just gently. Over-exfoliating can actually make ingrown hairs worse.
Could this maybe the problem?

PFB is a treatment used to prevent ingrown hairs. It is used to help 'razor bumps' which is where the name comes from-PseudoFolliculitis Barbae :D

Angelina is right, PFB Vanish is a unique, cosmetically roll-on gel formulation that helps against ingrown hair and razor burn/bumps resulting from shaving, waxing, electrolysis and laser hair removal.
The active ingredients in PFB Vanish exfoliate the skin cells to "lift ingrown hair" above the skin line thus avoiding ingrown hair and keeping the skin smooth and cared for.
