Hi,
A friend of mine has got really nice hands and would like to go into hand modelling. She has asked me to find out where she could do this and she thinks she would like to be independent do any of you have any ideas or names of companies where she could find out more?

Modelling on your own is hard to crack, the best thing is for her to join an agent.

When a client wants a model, they tend to ring up all the agencies they know and ask for the specific requirements. If she works for herself, its difficult to get herself well known and she could be sitting there forever waiting for things to happen.

Agents take a percentage of what she will earn but then they deal with all the bookings, castings and most importantly, chasing up on payments. Once a job is done, it may take a long time for the payment to come through so having someone do it for you is much easier.

Tell her to ring up all the reputable modelling agencies, although the dont advertise it, a lot of them have a section which deals with hand and body parts modelling.
