Ok so here goes, my fussy undecided client decided she wanted a purple side, which I talked her out of and did a few purple slices used osmo semi.
Glad I did as client loved it on the day then decided hated it!
So she got another hairdressers friend who used bleached and itz now aqua green and her hair is basically dead!
What do u suggest I do itz been abt 5 weeks ago.

Charge her £200 to sort it out?

What does she want you to do?

Only wants the aqua out back to her blonde what's underneath it. itz a slight jade/aqua green itz only about 4 slices at one side.

Do you have Olaplex available?

I don't think it's going to come out much more as the bleach will have pushed it further into the cuticle layer and stained it.

You can either cover it with something red based to neutralise it or cut it out, particularly if it's badly damaged. I doubt whether any of the usual direct dye removers will do much at this stage as the colour is no longer sitting on the outside of the cuticle. Perhaps mention to her that if she'd come to you originally, you could have removed it but not now.

Olaplex can only repair the internal bonds but can't repair the damaged cuticle layer.

I have had purple go teal when bleach is applied and I have only found 1 purple that lifts clean out of the hair so far.Besides going dark enough to cover the teal/green, she can wash it with a stronger shampoo for a while till it naturally fades.

Do Not use bleach on temporary color! It pushes the color molecule further into the cuticle. I would highly suggest some stand alone treatments and then using 20vol and permanent clear, it will pull it right out. Or if you have access to pravana Zero lift, it works wonders!

Take it out with Malibu DDL which is a direct dye lifter. Bleach won't take a direct dye out well since it has the same ionic charge (negative) as a direct dye and you need a positive charge to pull out the direct dye. Afterwards use Olaplex to give strength back into the disulfide bonds so whatever color you do will stay better.
