I've just got home from my first day on my waxing course and am keen to get practicing asap so wanted to order my couch for home. I've decided to go with the REM airlite portable couch but they only do this in white and im a bit worried about how it's going to look over time (-mostly whether it's going to get 'grubby' looking)! I know we prepare the area and cover the couch for treatments (and the couch looks like it has a easy wipe covering anyway!) but what would happen if wax or tint or something accidently got onto it somehow... does it come off without staining? Are darker coloured couches a better idea?

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi

If you always use a couch cover and / or towels and couch roll, it's very unlikely that any spillages will go through and damage the actual vinyl covering of the couch.

White is very versatile in the beauty industry, you may regret getting a colour at a later date.

My white couch is a few years old now and still in good condition - and I am very clumsy, I spill things all the time but nothing has ever soaked through and stained my couch.

You can also get couch covers, they are like a fitted sheet to help protect them. If you're really worried you could get one of these covers and use your normal towel setup over the top.

I refuse to buy a white couch or use white towels! Far too much hardwork to keep them spotless. Too quickly and easily they can look grubby.

My massage table is a lovely blue colour, but I have a fitted chocolate brown cover and then a huge brown towel over it.

I have 1 blue couch and one lilac couch,
they are both covered with white couch covers and couch roll and towels,
no one is any the wiser what colour they are underneath everything so i wouldn't worry too much about it, hth

I would think it's better to see the dirt so you can clean it! I have that couch and it's fine, just make sure to wipe it down! As you've said it's always covered anyway. I've had mine 3 years this April.

i have a white treatment bed and i have done so many tint treatments and waxing i have lost count.. and not once i have stained the couch with tint or wax.. i have my towels and bed roll on the couch and it never spills :).. even if you do vanish wipes would work thats what i use just to wipe over my area when ive finished the treatment just incase :)

I have had my white couch for nearly 5 years and it still looks brand new. Get the couch cover that is plastic for waxing and tinting and you will be fine. Just make sure you dont use nail varnish remover on them as it will melt it xxx
