Qualification awarding bodies

Hullo peeps!

Im hoping some of you knowledgeable lot can help. I hold a l2 VRQ beauty therapy qualification awarded by City & Guilds. Id love to start L3 but am a bit unsure on courses...

The course Ive found that fits round me is L3 but is certified by VTCT, can I switch from City & Guilds to VTCT? Does the awarding body even make a difference or is it the qualification that is important?

Also, as I have a 'VRQ' can i start an NVQ? The original college said they were the same thing but Its a blooming minefield & Id like to get it right as the courses arnt cheap!

Any help for this confused old girl would be great <3

Yes you can switch exam board and no problem following a VRQ with an NVQ.
