Qualifications in Australia?

Hi there everyone!

Not quite sure where im going with with this, but to sum this up, my current situation is that i will be a qualified level 2 beauty therapist by June next year (UK qual).

Im wanting to return to Melbourne, Australia on my permanent Visa around the same time.
Would this qualification be recognised or even enough to find work over there or have my own business? or would i need to further study to a higher qualification?
Does anyone know who i could contact also for more info?

the link AcidPerm posted is very informative.
Perhaps contact a TAFE campus close by to where you will be residing in Melbourne and they may be able to assist you further.
I did my nail tecnology training with TAFE and could wipe off a few modules due to record of prior learning. There was paperwork involved but it was realtively easy.
Also keep in mind that regulations regarding certain things.... such as steralisation etc could be different to that in the UK.
I would contact a TAFE campus via email and ask questions.
