Wonder if you can help please....... I realise that the Foundation course is exactly that and much further training is required, I wonder if you could clarify if you were taught a few things on your Foundation course please:

Correct way to hold abrasives
Correct way to use abrasives for finishing and rebalance
Customising a tip
How to shape the free edge after application with file angles etc
How many were on your course and if any of you were in a class of 4 or less did you still receive day 5?

Thanks for your help

Yes to all of the above and 2 in my class :D
I was completely cack handed holding files on my first day so that was the first thing that my educator had to drill into me! I still am now occasionally! :o

Yes to all of the above. There were 4 on my course. I enjoyed every minute! It is a great course because you have time in between days 3, 4 and 5 to practise what you have learnt before you do the theory and practical exams. You also get a brilliant DVD in your starter kit which explains every step in detail.

It was supposed to be a one 2 one class but with my concent i agreed to shared my days with another girl in the same area. There was 8 students on the SpaDay. That was fun! :D

Thanks for your help
Hope this helps you xxx

I didnt do my foundation course with CND but on the course I took we did cover everything you have suggested x

thank for your replies, unfortunately, none of the above plus more was not covered on my course, I have conflicting information from my tutor to the information that is in the workbook and also the information in nailclass i.e the brush handle in zone 3 I was told to have bolt upright and couldn't understand why I didn't have any product in zone 3 - when I got home and checked the workbook and nailclass it said 45 degrees. On day 4 i explained that i was stuggling before we went in the room and the reasons why and hoped to leave with my problems identified.... The tutor left the room for the duration of the theory paper and while we were trying to do the rebalance she tipped two of her nails and applied product - once reaching over me while i was struggling to rebalance my model (to the point of nearly being in tears i might add) to use my monomer and we were constantly reminded that we were on a time limit to finish the day. There were four on the course and we did not have a day five which I desperately needed, when I asked for help the tutor actually did the task for me - didn't explain what i'd done wrong etc .... I am now left confused and really really upset....... I really want to produce a decent set of nails which I know will take time but don't feel I have the tools to do this - any advice?

My only advice would be to complain! If it was the CND course call Sweet Squared asap and tell them your experience. I am sure they will rectify any problems.

I really feel for you x

I have, I rang sweet squared first thing this morning after watching cnd you tube videos and reading nailclass all day yesterday. I was promised a call back today but as yet am still waiting
