re balance, HELP

hey, i dont come on often as have a heap of a comp and it is always breaking, but after some tips, ive being doing nails for years and in march did the creative course, waiting for the other courses to come up now but am having real trouble with rebancing, they nails are fab and lasting ages but it takes me just as long to do a french re balance as it does to do a full set from start. also i go through around six white files with every client!!!! they are sooo tough to buff cant see how i can do it any quicker??? my poor arms need your advice!!

could you be doing them too thick in the first place ?
what grit are the files you re using you should only need 1 really , something strange if you use 6.
 
using the blizzard boards, the ones i was told to use! my nails are bit thicker than they should be, havent quite mastered that yet. just find by the time ive thinned down the whole tip, then redone the white and pink two hours have gone by, resorted to using the thin white gel over the top just so its quicker, re balande course isnt till nov!! x
