Hello Everyone,

Just a quick question. There are various courses I would like to do, but the only courses I could find that offer NVQ/IHBC are colleges and the carlton institute. If I did training with another body, would I be able to register myself (when I feel I am ready and good enough) to do the NVQ, if I kept an on going portfolio of my work?

Any avice would be great!

Hi there.

I trained with the Carlton Institute, and on the day of the training received a certificate that I had completed my training, and then also had the option of registering for the NVQ or ITEC examination. Once registered you are sent a case study pack, which needs completing prior to the exam. But the good thing is that you can gain experience and take the exam another time. They told me that I had 2 years to take the examination.
