Really fed up, what can I do

Hi geeks,

I am so angry and fed up with my sisters and i dont know what to do anymore :irked:

I had a spray tanning party booked tonight for 6 tans as i dont drive i asked my sister to take me and come with me she said yeah thats fine and now ive rang her this morning she is saying no because she has got things to do. So i then rang my other sister (as in the first place she complained that i chose the other sister to come with me) so i asked her and she said no ive got to cook dinner at that time and its not my problem its yours!

And then i have my gel nails course booked for sunday i asked my sister if she would be my model and she said yeah last week ask her again yesterday she said no i cant now.

I a just go angry with them as they just wont help me at all, and im always there to help them - i think they envy the fact that im going somewhere in life and the fact that my mum helps me out financially for my courses and i think this may be the reason why. They dont seem at all bothered or interested in what courses i am doing or what im qualified in.
I said to my sister the other day oh ill do you a manicure seen as a i am a professional she said no your not you havent even done that course yet??? When i done it last year april and she was my flimming model for the mani and pedi course.

I only have two other friends which also again wont help out as models and they dont drive

What can i do about this situation? Im so sick of them telling me yes and letting me down at the last minute and not even being bothered about what i do? Yet when they are going out and want a spray tan then they are interested!

And do you know what makes me angry the most i sat there for an hour and half on friday doing one of my sisters a manicure and pedicure for a wedding she was going to (unpaid) and now she lets me down??

I have 2 sisters so i know wot it's like. They do get better as they get older. My sister is now working for me at my salon as a hairdresser and to be fair both of them have always paid for their treatments even when i was practising, they covered my costs.
I hate people letting me down-gggrrrr drives me mad! If someone lets me down then i never ask them for anything again.
Try salon guinea pig and see if you can find some willing volunteers on there. There's lots of people willing to help out.
As for your sisters, i know it's hard but stop the freebies! Tell them it's costing you money to do their treatments. Or maybe you can tell them you have a price list especially for family as you have to make money. If they don't like it then they don't get any treatments-simple! Tell them to go and get them done at a salon.
Bet you're the middle one!

aww hun thats abit unfair of them! havent you got any other family such as cousins whih can be your model and drive? or a friend of a friend?

I will be brutaly honest here and say get on with it.. DONT make any plans that involve them helping you.. BELIEVE ME, you cannot expect others to help you , as sad as that sounds..
I dont drive either.. financialy i cant afford to..
after my lovely sister offered to drive my kids to school in the mornings (as she WORKS there) i thought fantastic.. only to be constantly held to ransom for it.. for one reason or another..
i have realised that if you want something.. if you need to get something done.. do it yourself.. and MAKE it happen..

Post a thread on here looking for models, I bet you get plenty of response and as far as I'm aware geeks have never let anyone down.

Don't involve your sisters anymore then they can't let you down and no more freebies to them.

yeah thats a good idea ask on here for geeks around your area which can drive also i guess and just pay them petrol money or something...i guess no one can rely on people as i fount out people just let you down constantly unless i just got the wrong friends lol

Try again posting I mean. You know family & close friends can make things very difficult when your in the beauty industry some of them think its their god given right to receive freebies! Have you thought about ringing a mini cab agency and doing a deal with them that you will use them for your transport if they give you a set price I bet they will. There are lots of people that use their services on a regular basis and get a good discount for doing so it probably won`t cost you more than the petrol in most cases and if you do become a regular customer and tell them that is your intention they will work a deal out for you
. Its worth a shot then you dont have to ask them for anything and wont feel the need to give freebies in return. Hope you get sorted with your models. xxxxxxxx

Exactly like littlegrohl said-you are now being held to ransom. They will do it but only if they get a free tan.
Stop giving them treatments and use the money to pay for driving lessons. Honestly some people.
You can pick your friends but you can't pick your family!!!!!!!!!!!

Do yourself a favour and try and get a car or licience if you haven't already got, Its hard financially, but you do need it in the long run ! sacrifice a night out or something,anything ! just try, then you wont have to rely on anybody, then that will deffo give your sisters something to be envious about.

Rather than let clients down and stress yourself out phoning around for a lift....Book a Taxi.
I know this will eat away your profit for these treatments, but hopefully the follow on bookings will put you back in profit.

Littlegrohl is absolutely right, you can't be dependent on other people (even family) you need to sort out your own arrangements, after all the one person you know for sure that won't let you down is YOU!!

I am really trying to get my driving lessons sorted financially..this month i need to pay out over 900 on courses and equiptment so once this is paid i can do driving lessons....which will be around may but if i can get my hands on some spare cash i will book my first lesson
