Did a tanning party and the bloody thing wouldnt go down properly, it must have twisted as i went to take it down, it went all floppy and i couldnt get it to stand up again, tried feeling around the wiresto untwist it but it just seemed to get worse.

Anyideas would be appreciated! :)

Ugh not a good thing. I'm glad we've got ours up in the salon, don't ever need to take it down cos I think we'd be in trouble if we did!! :) Did you have a look on youtube? xx

yours is from sienna i think? if its a manufacturing problem give em a call ime sure they will swap it for you  try running your fingers around the band and the seams sounds like its twisted the steel has a memory of its not flat it wont fold properly but dont force any thing:irked:

Thanks for the replies, I got my tent from LA tanning. Its a brown one with windows and an extractor flap.
Had it just over a month and its always been a bit of a pain to put down as it triesto twist itself butits never done this before! I have tried untwisting it but it just seems to have got itself in a right muddle, have no idea how it did it, im always gentle with it and tonight as soon as i tried putting the front fight corner to the back left corner (if you get what i mean) it just completely flopped!

try this ! unfold the tent untill its in the big oval shape not completely undone lay it on the floor the and run your hands around the edge where the twist is untwist the kink and push the bands together with the flat of your palm sounds like the bands have twisted out of alignment i find the brown tent with the windows a lot more tricky to do than the skylight model i demo d one recently and it wouldnt fold properly and it was brand new! Mrs Nouvatan did it in seconds by " just folding it the other way round to pop the bands back in shape" ive got a brown one to demo today over in Kitts Green Birmingham gona practise on it right now so i dont look like a muppet in the salon wrestling with it :lol:

haha mine did it during training! It has its moments! Although in fairness mine gets to be put up and down about 20-30 times a week and its getting quite old now.

I bang mine about a bit to get the strapping back in place or do what steve suggests check your banding is right.

I get used to mine now as I hold the metal in place and fold it down, or stand on the bottom and took it under.

i lie the tent flat on the floor and then put the tent against the skirting board and bend it in half length ways 1st its a great technique and it uses half the effort as the wall is effectively pushing back for you

lol thats what I do too! Otherwise me and tent go for 'walkies'!

hi , i have that tent from la tanning aswell its also about a month old. one day putting it up i lapsed to one side. i was raging as it was brand new, was also doing lot of tans that day . i managed through it but wat i did as others have said i felt around for the kink but i couldn feel one so i just went through the whole frame and just made sure everything was as it was supposed to be . i took it out to my back garden to give it a wipe down and airing and positioned 2 blocks inside either side of the tent so it wouldn take off (can ya imagine ) or you can use anything similar ,inside the tent . i then put another 2 items next to the tent to keep it upright. left it ther for a couple of hours and it worked . as steve from nouvatan said the steel does have a memory and a mind of its own . just like us women ha ha , hope you get it sorted , if not give la tanning a ring , there customer service is geat. good luck with it x

I'm the same! I got mine from LA tanning too, i have it a few weeks and i cant get the bloody thing down! tbh i havent really tried that hard i keep saying Ok i'll try tackle it now! then it annoys me and i give up again! I have it folded over so its flat like but i cant get it to fold properly, I try that "put it against the wall and bend it halfway" thing but it just wont fold properly, i feel like i'm forcing it and that its bending the wrong way and I'm afraid to break it! I suppose i'll have to face it one of these days... i might try again when i get home! I feel your pain shel!!

lol i look forward to watching it while fighting with my TINT later.. Thanks Steve :)

Thanks for the replies, I have tried and tried but it wont untwist and it wont go down properly.
Called LA tanning and they have told me I can send it back to them for them to take a look.
Told them I can't send it as it wont go down to a size where i could put it in anything to send it in!

Im getting really stressed and upset over it, got tans booked in for the end of this week too!

have u tried folding it the other way? I know this may sound daft but if it feels as though you're forcing it try turning it over, if there's no kinking it should go down quite easily....it does take a bit of practise though.

Think ihave just about tried everything with it, I cant get it to even go up properly, it just flops over. Wont go up and wont go down its just somewhere in the bloody middle!

Hi I had the same problem with mine but followed the link from above and now is goes back every time, The above UTube link is the easiest to follow :)

Just tried again, thats it, given up.
On the plus side i have probably lost weight with all the sweating i have done fighting with the damn thing

Just thought i'd update you all on my tent situation.

Spoke to LA Tanning again the end of last week and they sent me out a new tent which i recieved today! Im pleased it got sorted :)

Gonna have to cut the old one up with wire cutters to get rid of it as i dont think the bin men would be too happy taking it the way it is!!
